PixelForge Establishes European Game Development Studio in Dublin with 200 New Roles

PixelForge has established a new European studio in Dublin with an initial headcount of 80 and plans to hire 200 developers, artists, and producers over 24 months.

PixelForge, a global game development and publishing company, today announced the establishment of PixelForge Dublin — its first European studio — at a newly leased 3,500 square metre space in Grand Canal Dock.

The studio launches with an initial team of 80, transferring experienced leads from PixelForge’s Vancouver and Seoul studios alongside 55 new hires from Ireland and Europe. Total planned headcount within 24 months is 200 creative and technical professionals.

The Dublin studio will lead development on a new original IP — a narrative-driven open-world RPG — alongside providing art production and QA services for two existing PixelForge titles.

“Ireland’s combination of creative talent, university partnerships, and favourable R&D incentives made Dublin the obvious choice for our European centre,” said PixelForge Studios President Ji-Woo Kim. “We are committed to building a world-class studio here for the long term.”

The Irish Government’s IDA Ireland agency supported the establishment of the studio.
