Acceptable Usage Policy & Licensing

Rules governing how you may use our services, and the licensing terms that apply to our content, code, and brand assets.

Part 1: Acceptable Usage Policy

These rules define what is and is not acceptable when using our website, services, software, and API. By using any part of our services you agree to comply.

Scope

This Acceptable Usage Policy ("AUP") applies to all users of https://linkpress.app, including the website, published content, open-source repositories, APIs, and any downloadable software or assets provided by LinkPress™. It supplements, and is incorporated by reference into, our Terms of Use.

Permitted Uses

Personal & professional learning Using our educational content, tools, and resources for your own development.
Commercial use (where licensed) Incorporating our licensed software, themes, and components into commercial projects in accordance with the relevant licence.
Attribution sharing Sharing links to our content, writing about it, or citing it in your own work with proper attribution.
Testing & development Using our open-source code in your development environment, test suites, and personal projects.

Prohibited Uses

Illegal activity Using our services for any purpose that violates local, national, or international law or regulation.
Malware & exploits Distributing viruses, malware, ransomware, spyware, or any other malicious code through our infrastructure.
Spam Sending unsolicited bulk email, SMS, or other communications in violation of anti-spam laws (CAN-SPAM, GDPR, CASL).
Phishing & fraud Impersonating others, creating deceptive content, or operating schemes designed to defraud users or third parties.
Service disruption Attempting to overload, crash, or disrupt our services or any third-party services, including DDoS attacks.
Unauthorised access Attempting to access systems, accounts, or data without authorisation, including vulnerability scanning without consent.
IP infringement Uploading, distributing, or transmitting content that infringes third-party copyrights, trademarks, or patents.
Harassment & abuse Using our platform to harass, threaten, defame, or abuse any individual or group.
Sanctions violations Accessing our services from sanctioned countries or on behalf of sanctioned individuals or entities.

Enforcement

We reserve the right to investigate suspected violations of this AUP. Upon determining a violation has occurred, we may take any of the following actions at our sole discretion:

Warning Issue a warning to the account holder.
Suspension Suspend access to our services temporarily or permanently.
Removal Remove offending content or restrict its distribution.
Reporting Report the activity to law enforcement or regulatory authorities.
Civil remedies Pursue civil remedies including injunctive relief and damages.

Editorial Content

Articles, essays & posts All written editorial content is © LinkPress™. All rights reserved. You may quote up to 150 words with clear attribution and a link back to the original. Republication in full requires written permission.
Podcast transcripts & audio Episode audio and transcripts are owned by the respective creators. Embedding is permitted via our official player. Downloading or redistributing audio files is not permitted without prior written consent.
Newsletter archives Past newsletter issues are shared as editorial content and follow the same 150-word quotation limit as articles. Full reproduction requires written permission.

Open-Source Software

MIT Licensed components Theme components, utility libraries, and starter kits explicitly marked as MIT Licensed may be used, copied, modified, merged, published, or distributed freely, provided the original copyright notice and permission notice are retained.
LinkPress™ theme The LinkPress™ starter theme is released under the MIT License. Commercial use, modification, and redistribution are permitted under the terms of that licence.
Code snippets in articles Code examples embedded in articles and docs are released under the MIT License unless explicitly stated otherwise. You are free to use them in personal and commercial projects.
Dependencies Third-party libraries included in our open-source releases carry their own licences (MIT, Apache 2.0, ISC, etc.). Refer to the LICENCE file in each package for the full list.

Brand Assets & Trademarks

Logo & wordmark The LinkPress™ logo and wordmark are registered trademarks. You may not use them in any project, product, or service without prior written consent.
Screenshots & recordings Screenshots of the site are permitted for review and educational purposes with attribution. Using screenshots to misrepresent our service or products is prohibited.
Third-party trademarks References to third-party brands, products, and trademarks are used nominatively for informational purposes and remain the property of their respective owners.

Creative Commons Materials

Where specific articles or resources are published under a Creative Commons license, this will be clearly indicated at the bottom of the page with the applicable CC designation (e.g. CC BY 4.0). In those cases, the CC license terms govern your use, supplemented by these general guidelines where they do not conflict.

Commercial Licensing

If you wish to license our content or brand assets for commercial use — including white-labelling, training datasets, or incorporation into a paid product — please contact us at support@linkpress.app. We are open to licensing arrangements that are fair to both parties.

DMCA & Copyright Takedowns

If you believe that content on this site infringes your copyright, please send a written notice to support@linkpress.app that includes: (1) identification of the copyrighted work; (2) identification of the allegedly infringing material with enough detail to locate it; (3) your contact information; (4) a statement of good faith belief that the use is not authorised; and (5) a statement that the information in the notice is accurate. We will respond promptly.

We may update these licensing terms at any time. Changes will be posted here with a revised “Last updated” date. Continued use of our content or software following changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
