LogisticsHub Opens 135,000 sqm Pan-European Distribution Centre Near Rotterdam Port
LogisticsHub has opened a 135,000 square metre automated distribution centre near Rotterdam, designed to serve as a primary gateway for goods entering and exiting the European single market.
LogisticsHub today opened its new 135,000 square metre pan-European distribution centre at Maasvlakte 2 in Rotterdam, the largest automated logistics facility built in the Netherlands in the past decade.
The facility features:
- Fully automated goods-in and goods-out with robotic palletising and 48-hour onboarding for new clients
- Cold storage capacity for 18,000 pallet positions at temperatures between -25°C and +8°C
- AI-driven inventory management with real-time stock visibility across 60,000 SKUs
- Solar roof installation generating 3.4MW of on-site electricity
- Connection to Rotterdam Port and the Rhine container barge network for multimodal throughput
The centre will initially serve 12 clients across food & beverage, pharmaceuticals, and consumer electronics, with capacity to expand to 40 clients.
