HealthBridge Extends Telehealth Services to 200 Rural Communities Across Central Europe

HealthBridge has announced a major expansion of its telehealth platform into 200 underserved rural communities across Poland, Hungary, and Romania.

HealthBridge, a digital health platform provider, today announced the expansion of its telehealth service into 200 rural communities across Poland, Hungary, and Romania, bringing video consultations, remote monitoring, and prescription management to an estimated 1.4 million residents who currently lack timely access to specialist care.

The expansion is supported by a €22 million grant from the European Health and Digital Executive Agency (HaDEA) and a co-investment from two regional development banks.

Patients in participating communities will be able to book same-day video appointments with GPs, cardiologists, dermatologists, and mental health specialists through the HealthBridge app. Remote monitoring kits — including a blood pressure cuff, pulse oximeter, and glucometer — will be distributed at no cost to patients with chronic conditions.

“Rural healthcare inequality is one of the most persistent and solvable problems in Europe,” said HealthBridge CEO Magdalena Horváth. “Telehealth alone doesn’t fix everything, but it removes the access barrier for the most common clinical needs.”

Rollout begins in Q1 2026, with the goal of reaching full coverage by end of year.
